Dr. Rajinder K. Dhamija, MBBS, MD, DNB(Neuro), FRCP, FRACP is a Professor at The Institute of Human Behavior and Allied Sciences. Dr. Rajinder K. Dhamija graduated in Medicine in 1986 and MD (Medicine) in 1990 from Rohtak Medical College. He is trained in Neurology in India and Australia. He did his DNB (Neurology), FRACP from Australia, and CCST with FRCP from the UK. He established Neurology Department at LHMC and is presently the Director Professor of Medicine, Head of the Medical Unit, and Head of the Neurology Department at Lady Hardinge Medical College and SSK Hospital.

Dr. Dhamija is also a Senior Fellow as well as a Ph.D. examiner for Melbourne University Australia. He is also an international advisor for RCP (London) in India. He was awarded 33rd S Radhakrishnan Memorial National Medical Teacher Award 2017. He is an advisor for UPSC, J&K Public Service Commission, UGC, and Co-Chair Expert Group PG and Assessor for MCI and Faculty and Examiner NBE, Examiner for MBBS, and MD for various Universities. He has more than 70 Peer-reviewed Publications and book chapters.


He has been invited to present his research and deliver lectures at several international conferences in India, the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Thailand Morocco, Malaysia, Cameroon, and Bhutan. He is Chair SIG on Movement Disorders in the World Federation of Neurorehabilitation. Dr. Dhamija was also Addl. Personal Physician to the Honorable Prime Minister of India from 2000 to 2004. He is a reviewer for more than 20 journals including Stroke, Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases, and International Journal of Stroke.
