Rajeev Raghavan, M.D., FASN, FACP, Dip LM, is a board-certified Nephrologist and Internal Medicine physician with Kingwood Internal Medicine Specialists in Kingwood, Texas. Dr. Raghavan received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. He then went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine. He also did his Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship at Baylor. Dr. Raghavan furthered his education by gaining a Master's degree in Education from the University of Houston, before he earned Board Certification in Lifestyle Medicine in 2023.
Dr. Raghavan is board-certified in both Nephrology and Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Raghavan is a very dedicated, approachable physician who promises to educate and advocate for his patients with kidney disease. He was with the Baylor College of Medicine for 11 years, where he received numerous patient care and educator awards. Dr. Raghavan believes that Nephrology is an incredible field that affords him the opportunity to take care of patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The patients he cares for often have very complex medical conditions, and so each patient requires an individualized treatment plan.
Dr. Raghavan is passionate about education. He is the program director for the HCA Kingwood Internal Medicine Residency and an adjunct faculty member with both the University of Houston and Baylor College of Medicine. These academic appointments help him remain up-to-date with the latest medications and treatments for my patients.
Dr. Raghavan is interested in research and publications that focus on improving the health of disadvantaged populations with kidney disease. When not treating patients, Dr. Raghavan enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three children. He loves to exercise and socialize. Dr. Raghavan can also be found playing music as an exceptional cellist who has performed with the Texas Medical Center Orchestra.
