Rahul Mukherjee MD, DTM&H, FCCP, FRCP

Dr Rahul Mukherjee is an NHS Consultant since 2007. He has an interest and a track record of success in innovative collaboration across medical specialties as well as with Primary Care in the management complex respiratory failure, multimorbidity, and Long Term Conditions like COPD, trying to develop a balance between generalism and specialism. He has an active clinical research portfolio. Dr Mukherjee's educational portfolio includes current membership of the Health Education West Midlands Respiratory Specialist Training Committee and previous membership of the Oxford Deanery Respiratory Specialist Training Committee.

Mukherjee lectures regularly at the British Thoracic Society short courses and various regional and national educational meetings. He pursues a wider interest in Respiratory Epidemiology and Organisation of Healthcare Delivery to educate and empower clinicians to have a meaningful say in the delivery of care for their patients with Long Term Conditions. Dr Mukherjee also runs a charitable network, to facilitate education in healthcare reform towards making it more patient-focussed and affordable, working with colleagues across professions in the UK and India through the Rational Medicine Network.
