Rafael Boluda received a Ph.D. degree in pharmacy from the University of Valencia in 1988. He is currently a Professor of pedology and agricultural chemistry, where he is also responsible for the Soils, Wastes, and Environment Research Unit. He has published more than 130 works on environmental soil science and has supervised nine doctoral theses. Their research projects are currently focused on the study of emerging contaminants and the use of composting to minimize their environmental impact.
