Rafael Lara De Freitas PhD, MSc

Medical professional practicing the specialty of Orthopedics and Traumatology, working with emphasis on the subspecialties of Lower Limb Trauma Surgery, Knee Surgery and Cell Therapy in Bone Regeneration. After graduation in medicine from Universidade Gama Filho (1996-2001), he sought specialization in the area of ​​trauma and knee surgery, performing his 4th year of residency at the University of São Paulo Medical School of Ribeirão Preto (2005-2006). Master's and PhD in Medicine from the same Faculty (2005-2007) and (2007-2009).

Postdoctoral fellowship at the AO Foundation in Davos, Switzerland (2010-2011), where he performed stem cell research on bone defects and consolidation disorders. He served as assistant physician of the Ribeirão Preto Medical School of the University of São Paulo USP (2009-2013) and of the State Hospital of Ribeirão Preto (2008-2013). National and regional AO instructor since 2006, acting in the teaching of surgical techniques in the treatment of fractures. At present, he is the Head of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Service of the Paraíba Traumatology and Orthopedics Hospital (HTOP), Assistant Professor at the Medical School of Paraíba (2013-current preceptor of medical residency in orthopedics and traumatology and assistant physician in State Emergency and Trauma Hospital Senator Humberto Lucena in João Pessoa - Paraíba.
