Radwa Mehanna MD, PhD

Dr. Radwa Ali Mehanna, MD.PhD, professor of Medical Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University. Executive manager of the Center of Excellence for Research in Regenerative Medicine and its Applications (CERRMA), leading a distinguished research team. Dr. Mehanna has about 18 years of experience in the field of Stem Cells and Cell culture. She is the founder and head of the Egyptian Society of Extracellular Vesicles (ESEV). She is a member in the International Society of Stem Cell Research (ISSCR), the International Society of Extracellular Vesicles (ISEV), the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS), Tthe issue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Egyptian Society, Egyptian Society of Medical Physiology.

Dr. Radwa is the editor of an open-access book titled “Cell Culture” published in 2019, an associate editor in the Journal of Extracellular Vesicles (JEV), and an editorial board member in the World Journal of Stem Cells.  Dr Mehanna has international publications in reputable journals in the field of regenerative medicine, and she is a reviewer in many peer-reviewed journals in the same field. Currently, she is the principal investigator of research projects funded by Cardiovascular Research, Education & Prevention Foundation (CVREP) and Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF) in the field of stem cells, extracellular vesicles and regenerative medicine.
