Dr. Radwa Bedair is the clinical lead for adult congenital heart disease services and has worked at the Bristol Heart Institute since 2014. She qualified and trained in cardiology at Cairo University, completing her Master's and Doctorate degrees before moving to the United Kingdom for further training in 2007. Through a London deanery training program, she sub-specialized in adult congenital cardiology working at Great Ormond Street, Royal Brompton, and St Thomas' Hospitals in London. After obtaining specialist registration in 2013, she gained more experience in congenital interventional procedures through a one-year interventional fellowship at Evelina London Children's Hospital.
She sees patients in a clinic in Bristol on Mondays and Thursdays and has outreach clinics in Barnstaple, Exeter and Swindon. Her sub-specialty interest is diagnostic and interventional congenital cardiac catheterization. She is also responsible for regional training in adult congenital heart disease and has experience in clinical governance leadership.
