Rachel Pols-vijlbrief PhD

Rachel Van Der Pols-Vijlbrief after completing her BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics in Amsterdam, majored in Nutritional Epidemiology during a 2-year MSc in Nutrition and Health in Wageningen. Her research thesis was performed within The Rotterdam Study followed by a 6-month internship at The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Centre in Seattle, USA in the field of cancer epidemiology. From October 2010-2021, she was a PhD candidate at the Department of Health Sciences, Nutrition and Health at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. The PhD project is entitled; High risk for undernutrition, now what? Development and evaluation of an intervention for the prevention of undernutrition in high-risk older persons receiving home care. Next to the research part, she worked as a project manager, supporting two EU-funded projects, MooDFOOD (FP7) and PROMISS (H2020) (see Projects).
