Rachel Pearlman is a Research Genetic Counselor at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Columbus, Ohio, United States. Ms. Pearlman’s research interests include universal screening for Lynch syndrome. She is the project manager for the Ohio Colorectal Cancer Prevention Initiative, a study that is being conducted to understand how better to prevent colorectal cancer in Ohioans. The researchers involved in this study plan to enroll 4,000 individuals newly diagnosed with colorectal cancer, as well as their relatives, to develop a colorectal cancer research infrastructure within the state of Ohio, including universal screening for Lynch syndrome.
