Rachel Hendee received her undergraduate degree in biology with minors in German and Asian Studies from Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She has a Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master’s in Medical Science (MMS) in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Downer’s Grove, Illinois.
Hendee worked in various surgical specialties but worked in colorectal surgery for the last 3 years at Loyola University Medical Center and now Rush University Medical Center since 2017. She has a particular interest, including research in anal dysplasia, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and ostomies. She volunteers extensively with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation as well as with organizations that support funding for diagnosing and treating colorectal cancer in young and underserved populations.
