R. Ross Reichard BA, MD

R. Ross Reichard, M.D., has been appointed the new Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DLMP) Vice Chair of Quality and Associate Chair of Practice, effective June 28, 2017. These two leadership positions were created by the DLMP Chair with endorsement from the Executive Committee of DLMP and Mayo Medical Laboratories.

Dr. Reichard joined the staff of Mayo Clinic in 2011 as a Senior Associate Consultant in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. He is now a Consultant (Division of Anatomic Pathology) and holds the academic rank of Associate Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. Dr. Reichard currently serves as Medical Director of Mayo’s Office of Decedent Affairs, Co-Director of the Autopsy Laboratory, and Vice Chair the AP Clinical Practice Platform. He is also the Chief Medical Examiner of the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
