Wills is a research MD with further qualifications in in mathematics and computational biology, leading a hybrid team (wet/dry lab, industry/academic scientists) trying to find new therapies to improve liver metabolism. Our core technical competency is cellular (‘systems’) genomics, which includes single-cell sequencing, CRISPR, and computational methods. Using these, we model how systems of genes and cells interact and how this can be exploited when developing new therapies.
