Qiwei Yang received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China. He received his Master's and Ph.D. degrees from Nankai University with many honors. After graduation with a Ph.D. degree, he pursued his postdoctoral research work related to lung and renal development at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago. During his initial research faculty period, his research focused on pediatric cancer, Neuroblastoma. Dr. Yang’s current work primarily focuses on the genetic and epigenetic basis of pulmonary vascular disease in the fetus and newborn, and therapeutic targets in pulmonary hypertension. He has published many peer-reviewed papers in high quantity Journals including PNAS, Cancer Research, etc. He is serving as an editorial board member for Pediatric and Neonatal Care, Annals of Clinical and Experimental Hypertension, Cardiovascular Pharmacology, International Journal of Medical Sciences and Biotechnology, and Cardiology and Angiology: An International Journal.
