Qiongshi "Q" Lu received his B.S. in mathematics from Tsinghua University in 2012 and Ph.D. in biostatistics from Yale University in 2017. Dr. Lu's research focuses on developing statistical and computational methods to functionally annotate the human genome and dissect the genetic architecture of complex human diseases. In particular, he is interested in leveraging functional annotation information in genetic association studies to improve functional variant fine-mapping, genetic risk prediction, and genetic correlation estimation. In 2017 he was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics in the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics at University of Wisconsin-Madison.
