Dr. Pritu Dhalaria is a Physician specialized in Public Health (MBBS, DCM, MD). His professional career spanning over the past 20 years in multiple fields of Public Health has a particular focus on immunization, vaccine access and delivery, vaccine introduction, communicable diseases, neglected tropical diseases, strategic medical & health communications, drugs, product development and technologies in public health programs.
He has worked across all levels of the public health system and in different settings – from planning and implementation at the grass root level to participate in decision making processes at national and international/regional levels of multiple countries in South & South East Asia.
He started his Public Health career as a Research Medical Officer on Malaria Research and Intervention on sexual health (ISH) DFID Project in 1996 and over the years has worked in the World Health Organization and has led WHO Polio Eradication Initiative in Uttar Pradesh from 2000 to 2006.
He led PATH Immunization Portfolio (2006-2015) as Director, Immunization and the Institute for OneWorld Health as Director Public Health leading Visceral Leishmaniasis Program in India, Nepal and Bangladesh to introduce Paromomycin Inj. in these countries.
