Prateek Gupta MD, FACS

Dr. Prateek Kumar Gupta, MD, FACS, is a surgeon with board certification in vascular surgery from the American Board of Surgery. He specializes in limb preservation and he sees a lot of patients from Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas at the Vascular and Vein Institute of the South. Appointments are available in Germantown, Memphis, Southaven, Senatobia, Oxford, Millington, and West Memphis.

Dr. Gupta completed his fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the University of Wisconsin where he received extensive training in both endovascular and open-vascular surgery. He practices patient-centered care, and his treatment planning begins with an integrated approach between patients and all medical staff involved. He has also been very actively involved in research with more than 50 peer-reviewed publications, has written several book chapters, and has work that is part of American Heart Association guidelines. He also teaches physicians around the country about endovascular techniques for limb preservation.

His research interests are Vascular Surgery, Limb Preservation, Aortic Aneurysm Stents, Carotid Stents, Minimally Invasive Procedures, Complex Endovascular Therapy, Varicose Veins, and Aortic Surgery.
