Dr. Pow-Li Chia obtained his basic medical degree in the Year 2000 and a master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) in 2005, both from the National University of Singapore. He completed his Cardiology Advanced Specialist Training and was inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 2009. In 2011, under the Ministry of Health Manpower Development Plan funding, Dr. Chia completed a one-year Fellowship in Cardiac electrophysiology and Pacing at St Vincent's Hospital Sydney. He was conferred Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh) in 2016. In recognition of his contributions to medical undergraduate education, Dr. Chia has been appointed Adjunct Associate Professor by Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and Adjunct Associate Professor by Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

Dr. Chia is currently a Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Cardiology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital Singapore. He is also Head of the Arrhythmia, Cardiac Electrophysiology, and Pacing Service. His special interests include cardiac arrhythmias and cardiac implantable electronic devices and he has published extensively in these areas in local and international medical journals. He is a Specialty Editor (Cardiology) for the Singapore Medical Journal and a Council member of the Singapore Cardiac Society
