Pompiliu Piso MD

Pompiliu Piso, now 55 years old, completed his habilitation in 2002 at the Medical School in Hanover. From 2004 to the beginning of 2011, he worked as a C3 university professor and from 2005 also as a senior physician at the clinic and polyclinic for surgery at the University Hospital Regensburg. Since then he has been working as chief physician in the clinic for general and visceral surgery at the Barmfühle Brüder Hospital. Pompiliu Piso was chairman of the Surgical Oncology Association for a long time. He is also chairman of the Interdisciplinary Visceral Oncology Working Group of the German Cancer Society, a member of the Board of Directors of the European Society of Surgical Oncology, and of the Executive Committee of the Peritoneal Surface Oncology Group International.
