Piotr Przybylowski MD, PhD

Since 1994, Piotr Przybyłowski is an employee at the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Since 2000, a specialist in cardiac surgery, and since 2003 also been in the field of clinical transplantology. Multiple scholarship holders of the Texas Heart Institute and the University of Texas Medical School in Houston (USA). Since 2016, the medical director of the Silesian Center for Heart Diseases in Zabrze, currently also the coordinator of the Department of Cardiac Surgery, Heart Transplantation, and Mechanical Circulatory Support.

Since 2007, a provincial consultant in the field of clinical transplantology. In 2011, secretary general and then president of the Polish Transplantation Society. He lectured at universities in Houston (USA), Philadelphia (USA), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Berlin (Germany), Belgrade (Serbia), and Hangzhou (China).

The main areas of scientific interest are the issues of heart transplantation and the assessment of complications and long-term results, multi-organ and multi-tissue transplantation. Author of over 100 original review papers and many chapters in textbooks. Member of the program board of the International Cultural Center.
