Piotr Fudalej PhD

Dr Fudalej studied dentistry (1986-1991) and biology (1990-1992) at the University of Warsaw. He completed a postgraduate orthodontic programme at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA in 1998. In the following year, he defended cum laude his PhD thesis at the Medical University of Lublin, Poland. He has been on the cleft team at the Institute of Mother and Child, Warsaw since 2004. He also teaches at the Palacky University, Olomouc, Czech Republic.

His scientific interests include cleft lip and palate treatment (collaboration with the Radboud University Nijmegen, Netherlands and the University of Manchester, UK) and stability of orthodontic treatment (collaboration with the University of Washington, Seattle, USA). He authored or co-authored 28 scientific articles and one book. He received the 2010 Samuel Berkowitz Long-Term Outcomes Study Award for the best long-term outcomes study published in 2009 in the Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal. He maintains a private practice limited to orthodontics in Warsaw, Poland
