Pierre Leopold PhD

Pierre Leopold joined the SAB in 2018. In January 2019 he became the Director of the Institut Curie Research Center’s Developmental Genetics and Biology Unit and leads the Genetics and Physiology of Growth team. Previously he was Inserm Research Director, and head of a team at the Institute of Biology Valrose (Nice). A former student of the Ecole Normale Superior of St Cloud, he obtained a Ph.D. in Biology at the University of Nice and a post-doctorate at the University of California, San Francisco. His research focuses on the study of organism growth and uses the Drosophila fly as a biological model.
