Pierre Hardy MD, FRCSC, PhD

Dr. Pierre Hardy, MD, PhD, is a Canadian academic physician, pediatrician-neonatologist, and biomedical researcher based in Montréal, Québec, where he serves as a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and an accredited Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at the Université de Montréal. He also practices clinically as a Pediatrician-Neonatologist at CHU Sainte-Justine, one of Canada’s leading mother-child university hospitals, contributing both to frontline clinical care of infants and to cutting-edge research.

Dr. Hardy earned his MD from Université Laval, completed a specialty in Pediatrics-Neonatology at McGill University, and went on to complete a PhD in Pharmacology at the Université de Montréal, followed by postdoctoral training at the Institute for Medicine and Engineering, University of Philadelphia. His research focuses on cellular microvesicles and their roles in pathological processes such as angiogenesis and tumor biology, with implications for translational medicine and personalized therapeutic strategies, and he has led or co-led multiple funded research projects at the Azrieli Research Centre of CHU Sainte-Justine and other collaborative units. Dr. Hardy has also mentored graduate students and contributed to scholarly publications in pediatrics, pharmacology, cell biology, and molecular biology.
