Phyu P. Aung MD, PhD, FCAP

Dr. Phyu Aung is a physician-scientist and Dermatopathologist, currently working as an assistant professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of Texas-MD Anderson Cancer Center. She completed her residency training in Anatomic Pathology at the National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, MD followed by fellowship training in Dermatopathology at Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr, Aung is a Diplomat of the American Boards in Anatomic Pathology and Dermatopathology. Her main research interests include carcinogenesis and translational research of cutaneous neoplasms including melanoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and cutaneous lymphoproliferative disorders. Dr. Aung has authored/co-authored more than 50 publications, primarily in the area of dermatopathology.
