Pippa Bailey studied pre-clinical medicine at the University of Cambridge and clinical medicine at the University of Oxford, obtaining my primary medical degree in 2005. Following Foundation Training she started Core Medical Training in the Severn Deanery. In 2009 she obtained the DTM&H (Distinction) from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene before working as an Honorary Physician and Clinical Lecturer at Mbarara University of Science and Technology and Mbarara Hospital, Uganda. She trained as an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in Renal Medicine in the Severn Deanery from 2010. In 2013 She was awarded both Wellcome Trust and NIHR funding, and elected to pursue a Doctoral Research Fellowship with NIHR. She was awarded my PhD in September 2016.
