Phillip Levy, MD, MPH is the Edward S. Thomas Endowed Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Wayne State University and he currently serves as associate vice president for Translational Science in the Office of the Vice President for Research. In addition, Dr. Levy is the director of the Center for Population Health Accountability for Wayne Health. Dr. Levy is a Fellow of multiple professional societies including the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), the American Heart Association (AHA), and the American College of Cardiology (ACC).

Dr. Levy is a leading cardiovascular disease researcher who has overseen more than 110 funded studies from various entities since he arrived at Wayne State in 2002 including the CDC, AHA, and NIH. He has an h-index of 41 with more than 250 published manuscripts and textbook chapters and has been an invited lecturer on cardiovascular disease and other healthcare topics more than 300 times.
