Philippe Villain-guillot MSc, PhD

Philippe Villain-Guillot has been Nosopharm’s chief executive officer since co-founding the company in 2009. In this first entrepreneurial venture, he grew the company to include a staff of 8 high-skilled employees, established a robust IP portfolio and successfully entered it into the highly-selective ND4BB ENABLE project – the €90 million ($106M) IMI consortium dedicated to antibiotic R&D and associated major pharmaceutical companies.

Since the inception of the company, Philippe has raised €4.3 million ($5.1M) in private equity with venture capital firms and business angels and €3.4 million ($4M) in public grants. Prior to co-founding Nosopharm, Philippe gained experience in medicinal chemistry at Evotec (UK) and focused on natural products at CIATEJ (Mexico). Philippe holds a PhD in medicinal chemistry from the University of Montpellier.
