His surgical training began. Philippe Schucht in the townships of South Africa in traumatology. After completing basic surgical and neurological training in Zurich, he was trained as a neurosurgeon at the Department of Neurosurgery in Bern, where he devoted himself early to complex operations in brain tumors and neurosurgery in children. A fellowship with Prof. Duffau in Montpellier, the pioneer of low-grade brain tumor surgery, also contributed to his continuing education, as did a fellowship with Prof. Berger and Prof. Lawton of San Francisco, two of the world's leading luminaries in neuro-oncological and vascular neurosurgery.
