Philippe Morlat

Philippe Morlat is head of department of internal medicine and infectious diseases at the University Hospital of Bordeaux. He is professor of the universities, specialty internal medicine, at Bordeaux Segalen University where he served as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine from 2004 to 2009. A specialist in AIDS, he has been involved since 1997 in the work of the Ministry of Health dealing with the care of people infected with HIV in France.

In this capacity, he was appointed in 2013 to lead the group of experts responsible for issuing national recommendations. He participated from 1994 to 2003 in the working group "Drugs and AIDS" of the former French Agency for Health Safety of Health Products. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Public Health, Epidemiology and Development (Isped) of the University of Bordeaux Segalen.
