Dr. Philipp Muller received his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Basel in 2009 (Biozentrum, Prof. Jean Pieters), with a major focus on the immunology of infectious diseases, immune cell signaling and in vivo models of immune cell function as well as development. During the last 8 years his research has been dedicated to cancer immunology and immunotherapy.

He has worked on and published in high ranking journals on the immune-promoting properties of Antibody-Drug-Conjugates, bispecific antibody formats as well as agonistic antibodies, such as anti-CD40, and their therapeutic combination with immune-checkpoint blockade. Dr. Philipp Muller is currently working as Principal Scientist within the Cancer Immunology & Immune Modulation Department of Boehringer Ingelheim (Biberach an der Riß, Germany) with a major focus on cancer vaccines and oncolytic viruses.
