Philip K. Mcclure MD

Philip McClure, M.D., is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City. He is also a clinical instructor of orthopaedics at the University of Utah. Dr. McClure initially trained in orthopedic surgery at Brown University, where he continued to complete a fellowship in orthopedic trauma before continuing to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. In Dallas, he completed additional fellowship training in pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis surgery. After completing this pediatric fellowship, he continued to further subspecialize in limb lengthening and reconstructive surgery for pediatric and adult patients at the International Center for Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction and the Rubin Institute in Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. McClure brings back limb lengthening as a specialty of the Salt Lake City Shriners Hospital with his expertise in this area. He is a member of the Orthopedic Trauma Association, Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, and the Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Society. His practice focuses on children who require limb reconstruction and/or lengthening secondary to a variety of causes: trauma, infection, congenital differences and genetic/syndromic differences.
