Peter D. Wong MBBS, MPH, PhD, FRCPC, FAAP FACPM graduated from the University of the West Indies before obtaining postgraduate training in Paediatric Medicine, Critical Care, and Cardiology at SickKids. His experience in public health extends from an MPH/PhD (epidemiology) to leadership and governance. He is an Academic Clinician – in Community Paediatric Medicine, at the Division of Paediatric Medicine and a Project Investigator, at Child Health Evaluative Sciences, Research Institute at SickKids. He is an Associate Professor, at the Department of Paediatrics and cross-appointed at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. His research interests are in early life exposures, child health and health policy funded by PSI Foundation and the SickKids Family Heart Centre and SickKids Foundation. Dr Wong’s advocacy focuses on neighbourhood structures that promote health equity. He served on the Board of the Health City of Toronto; as Board director of the Association of Local Public Health Agencies; and on Advisory Committees of the Ontario Human Milk Bank and SickKids Centre for Healthy Active Kids. He has been recognized for his service by the American College of Preventive Medicine, the Canadian Paediatric Society and the Ontario Medical Association.
