Dr. Pang was born in Dearborn, Michigan and raised in a small town (Newark) in upstate New York. He graduated from Brown University in 1995 and after a year in Boston, went to medical school at the University of Texas - San Antonio. He returned to Boston for Emergency Medicine residency at Brigham & Woman's and Massachusetts General Hospital combined Harvard program, serving as Chief Resident in his 4th year. His first faculty position was at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. After 10 years, he left as Associate Chief and the Associate Director of Experimental Therapeutics within the Center for Cardiovascular Innovation under the leadership of Dr. Robert Bonow. In 2014, he moved to Indiana University School of Medicine, where he is clinical faculty at both the Methodist and Eskenazi Emergency Departments.
