Peter L. Lu, MD, MS, is an attending pediatric gastroenterologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and part of the GI Motility Center physician team. He is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Lu attended Northwestern University for both his undergraduate and medical education. He has completed residency training in pediatrics, fellowship training in gastroenterology, and advanced fellowship training in gastrointestinal motility disorders at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
His clinical interests include all gastrointestinal disorders, including functional gastrointestinal disorders, celiac disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, and inflammatory bowel disease. He has a special interest in gastrointestinal motility disorders. He has authored publications on a number of topics related to functional gastrointestinal disorders and gastrointestinal motility disorders, including research publications on the use of gastric electrical stimulation and sacral nerve stimulation in children with gastrointestinal symptoms. His past awards include The Ohio State University College of Medicine Resident Teaching Award, the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society Young Investigator Forum Award, and the World Congress of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Neurogastroenterology and Motility Abstract Award.
