Peter L. Althausen MD, MBA

Dr. Althausen received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. While in medical school, he also received an MBA in healthcare administration from the same institution. His orthopedic residency was completed at the University of California Davis Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Althausen completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has been practicing at the Reno Orthopedic Clinic since 2005.

Dr. Althausen is subspecialty trained in trauma and focuses on both pediatric and adult fracture care. Special areas of interest include pelvis and acetabular fractures, periarticular fractures, and complex polytraumatic injuries.
