Peter Jennings works at Nottingham Trent University as a Senior Lecturer. He also works for the Insulin Pump Therapy service within the Royal Derby Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trusts. The team works with approximately 300 insulin pump users. Peter was born in the USA and moved to live in England 18 years ago.
He initially worked for an insulin pump company educating diabetes teams about insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring across the United Kingdom and Europe. He then joined the diabetes team in Derby to work as a clinical academic and completed his PhD at the University of Nottingham.
Through his work, Peter seeks to positively influence people living with diabetes and their healthcare professionals’ knowledge, skills and attitudes relating to the use of insulin pump therapy and diabetes technologies at the local, regional, national and international levels.
