Peter Jackson Fagenholz MD

Dr. Fagenholz graduated from the New York University School of Medicine in 2002. While there he worked in the Laboratory of Developmental Biology and Repair under Dr. Michael Longaker performing studies on the molecular biology of wound healing and cranial suture fusion. From 2002-2005 he served as a resident in general surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Fagenholz practices a broad range of general and trauma surgery and provides critical care in MGH's Surgical Intensive Care Units. He has expertise in surgery for acute pancreatitis and especially minimally invasive necrosectomy and has published significantly on the topic and contributed to current international guidelines. He also has a special interest in complex abdominal wall reconstruction.
