Peter J. A. Hutchinson BSc, MBBS, FRCS, PhD

Dr. Hutchinson is a NIHR Research Professor at the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, University of Cambridge and Honorary Consultant Neurosurgeon at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge. He has a general neurosurgical practice with a subspecialist interest in the management of patients with neurological trauma. His research interests include traumatic brain injury (Chief Investigator of the MRC/NIHR-funded RESCUEicp decompressive study), multimodality monitoring in neurocritical care, and functional brain imaging.

He was the previous Chair of the European Association of Neurological Societies (EANS) Research Committee and am now a Vice President of the EANS. He is also the Neurosurgical Specialty Lead at the Royal College of Surgeons of England; Chair of the Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS) Neurotrauma Group; a member of the SBNS Council; Director of Clinical Studies and Fellow at Robinson College, Cambridge; and Chief Medical Officer for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.
