Peter Hudson RN, PhD

Professor Peter Hudson is Director of the Centre for Palliative Care (St Vincent’s Hospital and Collaborative Centre of The University of Melbourne, Australia), Professor (Hon.) at The University of Melbourne and Professor of Palliative Care at Queen’s University, Belfast (UK).

Peter is a registered nurse with approximately twenty years’ experience in palliative care practice, education and research. He is a Board member of the International Association of Hospice and Palliative Care. Peter is a co-founder of the International Palliative Care Family Carer Research Collaboration (www.ipcfrc.centreforpallcare.org), which operates under the auspices of the European Association of Palliative Care (EAPC) and is co-leader of a EAPC Taskforce aimed at enhancing support provided to family carers.
