Peter Halfmann PhD

Dr. Peter Halfmann, PhD, is a research associate professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, who oversees the screening and characterization of antiviral compounds against filoviruses (Ebola and Marburg viruses) using a range of cell-based assays that he has developed. Additionally, he is a visiting scientist at NIAID’s Rocky Mountain Laboratory, where he has biosafety level 4 access for research involving authentic filoviruses.
