Peter Ferguson BSc, MD, FRCSC

Dr. Ferguson, FRCSC, specializes in Orthopaedic Oncology at Mount Sinai and Princess Margaret Hospitals in Toronto, Ont. He and his colleagues designed and implemented a novel competency-based approach to residency training that is based on the CanMEDS Roles. Now in its fifth year, the program has received critical acclaim in the educational community and has had a profound impact on the learning outcomes of orthopaedic surgical residents at the University of Toronto. Dr. Ferguson has received many undergraduate and postgraduate teaching awards, including the Innovation in Surgical Education Award from the Association for Surgical Education.
