Peter Bjorn Licht MD, PhD

Professor Peter B Licht, MD PhD graduated from Copenhagen University Medical School in 1990. He is currently a senior consultant of general thoracic surgery in the department of cardiothoracic surgery at Odense University Hospital, and a professor of cardiothoracic surgery at Southern Danish University, Odense, Denmark. He is head of research in general thoracic surgery and principal supervisor in several clinical and experimental PhD-projects. His clinical interests and research focus on minimally invasive thoracic surgery for benign and malignant disease of the lung, mediastinum, and oesophagus. He is a member of council in the European Association of Cardiothoracic Surgery where he is also chair of the thoracic domain. He is a member of the editorial board of the World Journal of Surgery.
