Dr. Peta-Maree Alexander, MBBS, is a Senior Associate Cardiologist in the Department of Cardiology at Boston Children’s Hospital and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. She is an experienced pediatric cardiologist and critical care specialist with advanced clinical training in the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States, including fellowships in heart failure, transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support.
At Boston Children’s, Dr. Alexander focuses on the care of children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease, particularly those requiring extended cardiac intensive care, and is committed to advancing family-centered care and multidisciplinary approaches to pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery. She received her medical degree from the University of Queensland and completed residency and fellowship training at leading pediatric centers, and she also contributes to clinical research and scholarly publications in pediatric cardiac critical care and cardiology.
