Peiying Li is the director of the Clinical Research Center at Renji Hospital. She has received awards including National Outstanding Young Investigator from the Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Newton Advanced Fellowship from the UK Academy of Medical Sciences, Outstanding Academic Leaders from Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Committee, Shanghai Rising-Star by Shanghai Natural Science Committee, and Shuguang Program supported by Shanghai Education Development Foundation and Shanghai Municipal Education Commission. Her research interest is in immune regulation in ischemic brain injury and perioperative neuroprotection. She has published more than 30 SCI papers in Brain, Annals of Neurology, Stroke, and other journals as the first or corresponding author, these articles have been cited more than 1000 times. Professor Peiying Li has taken charge of 11 scientific research projects, which contain 5 projects from NSFC, including major research programs and China-UK academic projects. She received the Niels Lassen Award presented by the International Society for Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism (ISCBFM) and was the first Chinese young scientist to get this award. She was also the co-chair of the 2022 UK Glasgow Brain Conference raised by ISCBFM. Currently, Professor Peiying Li is the associate editor for the Journal of Cerebral Blood Flow & Metabolism and CNS Neuroscience & Therapeutics, and the editorial board member for Stroke and Neuropharmacology.
