Pedro Antonio Mego MD, FSCAI

Dr. Pedro Mego is a board certificated Interventional Cardiologist with a special interest in Peripheral Artery Disease and Chronic Venous Diseases. Dr. Mego specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, and peripheral vascular disease, and provides advanced heart care for all conditions. He is an Endovascular Diplomate by the American Board of Vascular Medicine. Dr. Mego is an expert in the Rio Grande Valley and has been practicing in the region since 2005.

Dr. Mego received his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos School of Medicine in Peru. He completed residency training in internal medicine at New York Medical College at Metropolitan Hospital Center. Dr. Mego continued his education with a cardiology fellowship at Montreal Heart Institute and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, followed by an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.​
