Peder Olofsson is currently working as a head, associate professor, and group leader at Karolinska Institutet. Peder S. Olofsson, MD, Ph.D., trained in anesthesiology and intensive care medicine at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden, and is a Diplomate of the European Academy of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine with more than 10 years of clinical experience. Dr. Olofsson also holds a Ph.D. in experimental medicine from the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden.
Dr. Olofsson’s work has been instrumental in the discovery that T cells relay neural signals in the inflammatory reflex, and that acetylcholine-producing T cells play key roles in the regulation of blood pressure and anti-microbial defense through the regulation of blood vessel physiology.
