Payam C. Ataii DMD, MBA

Dr. Ataii is an award-winning clinical instructor and a graduate of Tufts Dental School who is a recognized dental educator practicing over the past 26 years in Laguna Hills, California. Dr. Ataii's current role as Senior Vice President of Orthodontic Support at Aspen Dental will be to provide his extensive experience to over 2000 dentists & hygienists at "Aspen Nation" in the areas of clear aligners and sleep apnea. He is considered an early adopter and Key Opinion Leader in the clear aligner space having treated more than 3,600 clear aligner cases. He spent over 15 years as a faculty member at Align Technology lecturing to General Dentists all over the country before he began teaching and consulting for other clear aligner companies. 

Dr. Ataii’s focus at Aspen will be to partner with doctors and teams to increase provider clinical confidence and make the delivery of clear aligners predictable and efficient. In addition to the development of an end-to-end learning journey, Dr. Ataii will also be focused on standing up a team of doctors with clear aligner experience to be available to Aspen's doctors and teams, 24/7. 

Dr. Ataii received his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed his dental externship at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He is also a patent holder of an FDA-cleared oral device and continues to innovate and create health solutions to help dental practices reap the rewards of clear aligner treatments for their patients.
