Payal Nilesh Bhandari MD

Dr. Payal Bhandari is a leading provider of integrative medicine and board certified in Family Medicine since 2004. Dr. Bhandari was born in New Jersey and raised in West Virginia. She attended West Virginia University. At WVU Dr. Bhandari received her undergraduate degree in biology in 1997 and Doctor of Medicine degree in 2001. Dr. Bhandari completed a Family Medicine residency in 2004 from the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, M.A. Throughout Dr. Bhandari’s educational and professional career, she has been fascinated with holistic medical care through nutrition, prevention, and alternative healing modalities. She has actively sought opportunities to increase her understanding of what true health and healing are.

In 2005 Dr. Bhandari joined a neighborhood family practice and help transform it to San Francisco’s 1st nationally recognized patient-centered medical home in 2013. Thereafter, Dr. Bhandari launched SF Advanced Health focused on integrating the best in conventional and complimentary medicine to create wellness at an affordable cost. December 2017 Dr. Bhandari has owned an integrative medical clinic which now houses other holistic practitioners (ie., nutritionist, acupuncturist, health coach) under the same umbrella. Dr. Bhandari cares for people of all ages and with any chronic disease. She is committed to developing a relationship with each patient that is built on mutual respect and trust. By leveraging the latest research in evidence-based eastern and western medicine, Dr. Bhandari uses her experience and the patient's feedback to transform patients' health from illness into wellness.
