Pavel Kohout PhD

MUDr. Pavel Kohout, Ph. D. is the head of the metabolic ICU of the 2nd Internal Clinic and the Center of Nutrition of the Thomayer University Hospital in Prague. It deals mainly with idiopathic intestinal inflammation and celiac disease, affecting the intestinal microflora of probiotics and also curative nutrition, including home artificial nutrition and methods of its application.

He is a member of the Society of Clinical Nutrition and Intensive Metabolic Care of the Czech Society of Nutrition and Nutrition, a member of the Working group on idiopathic intestinal inflammation at the Committee of the Czech Gastroenterological Society of CLS JEP, as well as a member of ESPEN and DGEM (German Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition) Gesellschaft for Ernahrung and Metabolismus).
