Paula Squires MBA, SHRM-SCP, SPHR

Paula Squires, MBA, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, serves as the senior vice president of Human Resources for Brigham Health. Squires is passionate about ensuring BH is an employer of choice, strengthening the institutions efforts in workforce development and providing excellent service to current and prospective employees. She has extensive experience in human resources in health care settings and a deep understanding of the role that the HR team plays in recruiting, engaging and retaining the right employees. For the past 11 years, Squires served as the senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Baystate Health, overseeing human resources for the system’s 12,500 employees.

Prior to Baystate Health, Squires held positions including vice president of Human Resources at Maine Medical Center and vice president of Human Resources at South Shore Hospital. She also has worked for Harvard Community Health Plan and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Squires earned her bachelor’s degree from Bridgewater State College and her MBA from Boston University. She is certified as a senior professional in human resources and in senior human resources management. She is committed to her local community and has served on the board for the Martin Luther King Jr., Community Center, for the past nine years, serving five years as chair.
