Paula Margozzini Maira

Dra. Paula Margozzini is a Public Health and Epidemiology professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile since 1997. She also works as a clinician in adult family medicine.

Her research has focused mainly on chronic disease prevention and surveillance. She has worked on the Chilean National Health Surveys (ENS) since 2002 and is actually running ENS 2016. She works as an advisor and consultant for the Chilean Ministry of Health (MINSAL) and the National Alcohol and drug prevention agency (SENDA). As a health advocate she promotes the development of population wide strategies and cost effective health policy to help tackle the growing chronic disease burden in Latin America.
